Embroidered Felt Christmas Ornament Workshop. Make something beautiful with your hands this Christmas.
Join us for a cosy 3-hour evening of slow stitching and Christmas creativity at Studio Koekoek in Amsterdam.
You’ll design and embroider your own felt Christmas ornament, choosing from 30 colours of wool felt and more than 500 embroidery threads.
No embroidery experience needed. We’ll guide you through the basics and show you how to use beautiful stitches, metallic and glitter threads to add your own touch.
Your ticket includes:
- high quality embroidery materials to work with
- 30 colours of felt to choose from
- 500+ embroidery floss colours
- embroidery hoop, needle & scissors to use during the session
- personal guidance in a small group (min. 6 max 9.)
This workshop is perfect for beginners but also a great way for more experienced makers to try out a new technique. No prior experience is needed.
What to Expect

- Tips for working with glitter and metallic thread to add a touch of sparkle to your design.
- The freedom to create your own design, with support and inspiring examples available
- Learn freehand embroidery techniques including lazy dasisy, blanket stitch and back stitch.

You’ll leave with new skills, fresh inspiration, and a unique embroidery piece to continue and enjoy.
Materials:
- Embroidery materials used during the workshop are included in this price.
- You can also borrow an embroidery hoop, scissors and needle from us during the workshop.
- If you’d like to continue practising at home, you’re welcome to buy extra supplies in the studio.

About Studio Koekoek’s workshop
We love to welcome you in our studio in Amsterdam. We’re working every day with textiles and like to share our enthusiasm with you. You’ll learn in small groups, so you’ll get lots of help with questions.
Workshop cancellation policy
In the unfortunate event that you cannot join your booked event, you are welcome to resell or give your ticket to somebody else who is able to attend. If you wish to cancel your ticket, we adhere to the following policy:
- Cancellations made more than 1 month before the event receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made between 14 and 31 days before the event receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event are not refunded.
- No-shows are not refunded.
