Description

This is a follow up master program of 6 classes in which we seriously study the interaction of colors in your textile work. We work with artist teacher Loret Karman from the Amsterdamse Steek to deliver this unique program. During this course you will deepen your knowledge and the skills you learned during course 1.

Please note: This course is only open to participants who have already completed the masterclass colour study 1, or to those who have already studied colours in textiles and can show work during an intake interview that demonstrates their knowledge.

About your teachers

Loret Karman brings decades of experience studying colors in textiles. She has helped numerous textile artists to help find the right colour palletes for their work of art. She was hired by the Van Gogh Museum to recreate the yarn box which Vincent used as an artist. She made a full color wheel of the 500 colors in the DMC embroidery floss collection. And in unique collaboration with our studio, we developed this exclusive master class program.

Because Loret should have retired already, she has worked intensively with Gerda Leeffers – the creative brain behind Studio Koekoek – in recent years to transfer her knowledge about colours in textiles. And as a result of this unique collaboration, we have developed this exclusive masterclass programme.
Loret will still be present at every session during this series. A unique opportunity.
And you can put what you have learned into practice right away, because Gerda teaches you different embroidery stitches, tips and tricks. She works with textiles every day and is happy to share her technical skills with you.
